Identify the plastic stream
Separate rigid plastic, film, pipe, lumps and fiber-reinforced products where practical. Each material behaves differently in the cutting chamber.
Control contamination
Remove large metal pieces, stones and other hard contamination before shredding to protect cutters and downstream equipment.
Define the production target
Capacity should be considered together with discharge size. A smaller final particle size may require a screen, more cutting passes or additional downstream equipment.
Compare the complete configuration
Review rotor design, blade material, drive system, control protection, bearing arrangement and maintenance access. The right balance produces stable output while controlling operating cost.
